I have been doing mechanic work since I was old enough to hold a wrench. Since I was little, I worked with my dad, Michael Burns, on many cars, traveled over the road with him and towed with him at Shorty’s Towing. I eventually got to take over my dad’s towing business, Burns Auto Transport, when I got older.

I have been doing auto body work for 23 years. I started out at my father-in-law’s repairable shop and worked my way up from there. I now own my own business, Burns Autobody, and am located in Milaca, MN. I don’t only paint cars and trucks. I have painted motorcycles, a boat, a snowmobile, a horse trailer, and I even painted my son’s laptop for him. My extensive experience in mechanical, restoration, auto body repair, welding and fabrication makes me able to achieve a lot of things in-house, therefore saving you money. If I can’t do it, I am usually able to refer you to someone who can.

I have a lot of people ask me how much it will be to do a full paint job on a car or truck that doesn’t need repair or restoration work. A lot of times they just want to change the color, or refresh the paint. Unfortunately it is more costly than people are led to believe by “the other guy’s” T.V. commercials. There is a lot of time and a lot of paint involved in doing a complete paint job. If you want a color change it is even more extensive. But I do try to save people money in every way I can.

At Burns Autobody we can do custom rods, restorations, repairables, and daily drivers. We are also able to work with insurance companies. Contact us for a quote.
